💩 The baby poop field guide
Stool patterns vary with age and feeding; colour and the baby’s condition matter.
The red flags
1. What to prepare
Observe stool changes alongside feeding, wet nappies and comfort rather than diagnosing from a chart alone.
2. What to check
Seek prompt advice for pale/white stool, blood, persistent diarrhoea, dehydration or an unwell infant. Do not give laxatives or water to a young baby without clinical advice.
