💨 Burping baby after a bottle or nursing session
Gentle burping can help some babies; not every baby burps after each feed.
What you'll need
- 1 burp cloth or small towel draped over your shoulder to protect your shirt from collateral damage.
How to get that burp out
1. Burp gently
Support the head and neck upright and gently rub the back. Do not force a burp.
2. Safe sleep after feeds
If baby falls asleep, use their firm, flat sleep space on their back. Never use an incline, sofa or sleeping adult’s chest to manage reflux.
