🫀 Dad’s health: what nobody tells you
Fathers and other caregivers need healthcare too.
Warning signs and life-saving habits
1. What to prepare
Arrange a primary-care review for persistent tiredness, pain, sleep problems or mood changes; do not assume everything is normal exhaustion.
2. What to check
Share night care safely and ask for practical help. Seek urgent help for self-harm thoughts, chest pain or severe breathing difficulty.
3. In South Africa
Confirm your clinic or midwife obstetric unit, referral hospital, transport plan and after-hours contacts. Bring pregnancy records and your baby’s Road to Health booklet to visits; private medical-scheme arrangements and public referral pathways differ.
