🍼 Baby bottle amounts: how much milk by age
Bottle amounts vary; a fixed age chart is not a prescription.
Guide to bottle amounts by age
1. What to prepare
Follow hunger and fullness cues, use paced feeding and never force baby to finish. Mix formula exactly as directed for that product.
2. What to check
Monitor wet nappies and growth with your healthcare team. Seek help for poor intake or persistent vomiting; never add extra powder or water to change intake.
3. In Ireland
HSE formula preparation uses freshly boiled water cooled for no more than 30 minutes so it remains at least 70°C when mixed. Measure water first, add the product’s exact powder amount, then cool safely before feeding. Sterilise equipment; do not use a universal scoop ratio.
